Videon Central CEO to give College of Engineering commencement address

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Todd Erdley, president and CEO of Videon Central, will deliver the commencement address at Penn State's College of Engineering’s baccalaureate degrees program ceremony at 8 p.m. on Friday at the Bryce Jordan Center on the University Park campus.

His talk is titled, “The Problems You Will Solve.”

Erdley earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Penn State in 1986 and 1992, respectively.

He has remained active in the College of Engineering by serving on the Department of Electrical Engineering’s Industrial and Professional Advisory Council and engaging with students in the classroom.

In 2007, Erdley was named an Outstanding Engineering Alumnus, the highest honor bestowed by the college.

He is also the recipient of Ernst & Young’s 2002 Technology Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County’s 2013 and 2015 Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award and the Governor of Pennsylvania’s 2014 Entrepreneur Impact Award.

Located in State College, Pennsylvania, Videon Central is a multidisciplinary engineering company that develops middleware for Blu-ray players, specialized applications for in-flight entertainment, streaming media software and a range of other technologies.

More than 1,100 students are expected to receive their baccalaureate degrees.
