This year's Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day event, presented by Penn State's Office of Human Resources and Educational Equity, took place Thursday, April 23, on the University Park campus. The event drew approximately 500 participants and their mentors to 43 career sites highlighting the food industry, animals, nursing, horticulture, sciences, the weather, the arts and most everything in between.

This year's luncheon featured O. Richard Bundy, professor of music education and director of the Penn State Marching Blue Band, as speaker.

The Penn State event is part of a nationwide effort to help children explore career options. For more information on Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, go to http://www.daughtersandsonstowork.org.
