Sabatelli named director of Student Affairs, Enrollment Management

Teresa (Teri) Sabatelli has recently been named director of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management for Penn State Berks. In this position, she is responsible for leadership of the campus’ student life and enrollment management programs including admissions, student aid, retention initiatives, residence life, intercollegiate athletics (NCAA Division III, club sports and intramurals), health and counseling services, and support of special student populations.

In 2002, Sabatelli joined Penn State Berks as an admissions counselor and she was promoted to director of Admissions and Financial Aid in 2005. Previously, she worked as an admissions counselor at Penn State Fayette. Prior to that, she worked as an admissions counselor and then assistant director of Admissions at Salem-Teikyo University in Salem, West Virginia. She began her career as an academic adviser at West Virginia University.

Sabatelli earned an master of arts degree in educational administration and a bachelor of science degree in journalism, both from West Virginia University. She was the recipient of the Penn State Outstanding Adviser of the Year Award (2014) and the Lifelong Achievement Award for Extraordinary Contributions Toward Student Life (2002), and she was named an honorary Lion Ambassador (2002). She also received the Penn State Administrative Excellence Award (2000) and Excellence Award for Outstanding Service as Adviser to the Lion Ambassadors (1999).

She is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling, the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling, and various University-wide advisory groups and campus committees.

A native of Masontown, Fayette County, Sabatelli now resides in Shillington.
