Student ballet club Vole to hold spring concert April 26

Vole, the Penn State ballet club, will hold its annual Spring Dance Showcase on April 26. The show's theme this spring is "stories" and is a culmination of the efforts of the club’s choreographers, performers and executive board.

The theme was chosen by club vice president Jennifer Volz because of the vast range of interpretation that it offers. Songs featured in the pieces include “Hanging Tree” by Jennifer Lawrence, “Shake it Off” by Taylor Swift, and “The House that Built Me” by Miranda Lambert.

Each piece represents the choreographers’ interpretation of the song, whether it be coming from their actual experiences or a literal interpretation of the lyrics, and each dance tells an intricate and exciting "story.” The show begins at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, in Schwab Auditorium. Doors open at 2:00 p.m., and admission is free.
