Penn State York will celebrate its 45th annual spring commencement at 6 p.m. Friday, May 8, in the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center at the campus. The ceremony is free and open to the public.

Keith D. Noll, senior vice president at WellSpan Health and president at York Hospital, is the commencement speaker.

Noll, leads all of the activities of the York Hospital for WellSpan Health and is responsible for the 570-bed tertiary care hospital with Magnet designation containing a Level 1 trauma center, a Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit and a 130-physician medical residency program. The hospital generates $1 billion in revenue annually. Noll has served in this position since 2011 and during that time proposed and developed a $48 million project to reconstruct the emergency department for the York Hospital and county. He holds a bachelor’s degree in health planning and administration from Penn State and graduated with honors in 1987. He began his Penn State education at Penn State York and serves on the campus advisory board. He also is a 1989 honors graduate of the University of Minnesota with a master’s degree in hospital and health care administration.

In addition to hearing from Noll, Penn State York will continue its open microphone tradition when graduates can speak to the audience for a moment. The top associate, baccalaureate and master’s degree graduates will also say a few words. A number of former Penn State York students who completed their degree work at another campus of Penn State will return to their home campus to receive their degrees during the ceremony.

The campus will award associate, baccalaureate and master's degrees during the program.

For those who cannot attend the event, Penn State York's commencement can be viewed on Comcast cable Channel 18 and streaming on the website at www.yk.psu.edu/commencement.
