Films produced by Penn State students will be featured during the annual Blue and White Film Festival at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at the historic State Theatre in downtown State College.

The juried festival -- a red-carpet event founded and organized by the Penn State Student Film Organization, which accepted entries from students in all majors at the University -- includes work in disciplines such as animation, documentary, experimental and narrative.

All films in the festival were produced during the 2014-15 academic year.

Tickets for the festival are free for Penn State students and may be picked up at the State Theatre.

General admission tickets cost $6 for all others. Tickets may be purchased in advance at http://thestatetheatre.org online, or at the box office the night of the event, if they remain available.

For those unable to attend the event, a compilation DVD of the students’ work is available for purchase for $10. To order a DVD, send a check and return address information to Richie Sherman, 124 Carnegie Building, University Park, PA 16802. Checks should be made payable to “Penn State Student Film Organization.”
