Summer registration for student parking permits begins April 29

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Student parking registration for summer 2015 will begin Wednesday, April 29.

All students taking classes during Maymester, Summer Session I or Summer Session II are eligible to register for a student parking permit, regardless of semester standing. However, students taking classes only during Summer Session II should wait to register until Sunday, June 28, when permit prices will be reduced to a prorated rate for the remainder of the summer.

Off-campus student parking registration 

Permit options for students living off campus for summer 2015 will include the following:Commuter: Lot 44 and Stadium West. This permit is for off-campus students in need of campus parking for class and other campus activities but who have overnight parking at their off-campus residence. With this permit, parking on campus between the hours of 2 and 4 a.m. is prohibited, seven days a week.Long Term Storage: Lot 43. This permit is for off-campus students in need of overnight storage of their vehicles.Access to additional campus parking lots is available to Commuter and Lot 43 permit holders on weekdays beginning at 4 p.m. and is available throughout the day on Saturdays and Sundays (see Student Parking Map).

On-campus student parking registration 

Open to students living on campus for summer 2015, resident parking lots are available to registered permit holders 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with additional access available after 4 p.m. on weekdays and throughout the day on Saturdays and Sundays (see Student Parking Map). Registration details

Permit registration can be completed online at www.parking.psu.edu. In order to complete registration, students will need their Penn State ID, full local address and the license plate information for their vehicle(s). Registrations may be charged to the student's bursar account or paid with a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover).A complete rate list can be found by visiting the Student Parking Rates page: http://www.parking.psu.edu/transportation/parking/students/student-parking-rates.cfmAll summer 2015 student parking permits will be held at the Parking Office and will be available for pickup beginning at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 6.
