ComRadio open house set for April 17

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — ComRadio, the Internet-based radio station housed in the College of Communications, will celebrate its 13th anniversary with an open house for alumni and current ComRadio and College of Communications faculty, staff and students Friday, April 17.

The event will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. at 103 Innovation Boulevard, located in Innovation Park on the University Park campus.

ComRadio students will be conducting tours of the recently enhanced facility, which benefitted from $130,000 worth of equipment upgrades. The investment has allowed ComRadio students to consistently gain hands-on experience with industry standard equipment.

More than 130 students contribute to ComRadio each semester. The station provides a variety of news and sports programming, covering Penn State varsity sports teams when they compete at home and traveling to cover many others on the road. In addition, students produce dozens of separate talk shows each week, focusing on topics ranging from entertainment to public affairs and sports.
