OSLER at Penn State Hershey accepting scholarship applications

The Office for Scholarship in Learning and Education Research (OSLER) at Penn State College of Medicine invites faculty members to apply for the second annual Scholarship in Education Award. This award recognizes educators’ outstanding scholarly contributions to medical education. To receive this award, faculty must submit a written synopsis of a scholarly teaching activity. Each synopsis is peer reviewed by an internal committee as well as three national education experts external to Penn State.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on June 25. Visit www.med.psu.edu/OSLER (SIE Award tab) to apply and for more information.

The award is offered as part of the Scholarly Activities series that OSLER provides faculty members to help enhance their teaching skills and focus on scholarly teaching using the Glassick’s criteria: clear goals, adequate preparation, appropriate methods, significant results, effective presentation and reflective critique.
