Penn State Altoona to hold Brain Awareness Week

Brain Awareness week, March 22 to 28, is a global campaign spearheaded by the Dana Foundation to promote and spread the word about the progress and benefits of brain research as well as to celebrate the amazing wonder of the brain. Penn State Altoona's program comes on the heels of the annual international celebration on the second week in March.

Speakers, demonstrations and lab tours will be offered throughout the week. There will also be seminars with Dr. Timothy Roth, Dr. Carroll Osgood and neuroscience graduate students from University Park. Kids’ Day will be held Saturday, March 28; kids ages 6-12 can participate in fun activities and games to learn about the brain.

All events are free and open to the public. Visit altoona.psu.edu/brain for a complete schedule of events.
