UPPER BURRELL, Pa. -- It is not too late to apply to Penn State New Kensington for fall. The campus' admissions office is holding an Application Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, for high school students, transfer students, and adult learners.
The New Kensington admissions staff will be on-hand to guide prospective students through the application process. Those who complete the application will receive a waiver for the $50 application fee. Additionally, applicants to New Kensington may receive an admissions decision immediately if they bring a high school transcript and their SAT or ACT scores.
Students and their families are invited to stop by the admissions office between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Appointments are recommended but not required.
Prior to visiting the campus in person, prospective students can access the new interactive virtual tour. The online feature highlights campus students, facilities and activities. High school students and adult learners can get a feel for the campus via a home computer or mobile app. After previewing the campus, future Penn Staters can use the navigation buttons to schedule a visit or apply online.
Users can explore different areas of the 72-acre campus using four tour options: walking, panoramic, videos and photos. The guided walking tour starts at the Lion Shrine and continues to the campus hot spots, including the Art Gallery, Forum Theatre, The Junction, a Starbucks coffee bar, Café 780, Computer Center, Conference Center and Athletics Center.
