Professor Saltz to lecture on current economic problems

Penn State Shenango will continue its 2014-15 Faculty Lecture Series with Ira Saltz, professor of economics, who will speak on "Understanding our Current Economic Problems and Possible Solutions" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, in Sharon Hall, Room 105, located on Penn Avenue in downtown Sharon. The event is free and open to the public.Saltz’s expertise is in macro-economics. He received his doctorate in economics from the University of California, Berkeley. He is well-published and has written for and spoken on numerous media outlets regarding economic issues. Saltz has also written and received several grants while he was at Penn State Fayette as its director of Academic Affairs, and before that, at the University of Central Arkansas, where he held positions as associate dean in its Graduate School, associate dean in the College of Business Administration, and associate dean in the Graduate School of Management, Leadership and Administration.For more information about this lecture or topic, contact Saltz at iss1@psu.edu.
