Penn State Night at Reading Royals to benefit THON

The Berks County Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association, the Penn State Berks THON student group, and the Reading Royals are teaming up for the fifth consecutive year to hold a fundraising event to benefit THON, the world's largest student-run philanthropy dedicated to supporting children with pediatric cancer and their families, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Santander Arena in Reading.

Tickets for the game are $16 and $11 for Penn State students with a valid student ID. A portion of every ticket purchased through the chapter or through the event website (psuberkschapter.com/royals) will be donated to THON.

The Reading Royals will wear special Penn State-themed jerseys. This year, the jerseys will pay tribute to the ultimate beneficiary of the night's event, the Four Diamonds Fund. Each will feature the blue and white Penn State colors, a lion paw print on the shoulder, as well as sets of four diamonds sublimated onto the front and back of the jersey. These one-of-a-kind game-worn jerseys will be autographed by the players wearing them and auctioned off following the game, with a portion of the proceeds also benefiting THON.

The Penn State Alumni Blue Band will be present and performing during the evening to complete the Penn State theme.
