Penn State Reads presents 'Americanah-Nigerianah: The Arts of Nigeria'

William Dewey, professor of African art history in the department of art history at Penn State, will present “Americanah-Nigerianah: The Arts of Nigeria” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, in 112 Borland.

Along with presenting and explaining a few examples of the arts of Nigeria, Dewey will detail how his experiences as an exchange student to Nigeria in 1973 (going in the opposite direction of 2014 Penn State Reads author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie) led him to becoming a professor of African art history.
