Upcoming events with President Barron scheduled

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State President Eric Barron will continue his nationwide speaking tour next month, with six scheduled receptions taking place in three states.

At each Alumni Association-sponsored event, Barron speaks to audiences about his vision for Penn State and answers questions from audience members. All alumni (and their guests) are welcome to attend, with free admission. The schedule through the end of February is as follows:

Pittsburgh: Tuesday, Dec. 2New York City: Thursday, Dec. 11Dallas: Monday, Feb. 9Houston: Wednesday, Feb. 11Hilton Head Island, South Carolina: Monday, Feb. 23Tampa, Florida: Tuesday, Feb. 24Naples, Florida: Wednesday, Feb. 25Boca Raton, Florida: Thursday, Feb. 26

Last month, Penn State Alumni Association Executive Director Roger Williams wrote a column on Barron’s national speaking tour. Stops already have included Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and New York City.

Invitations will be sent via email to area alumni for each event, and online registration will be available on the Alumni Association’s website a few weeks before each reception — please continue to check the site throughout the early part of this year.
