University Police investigate construction site thefts

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State University Police are investigating two incidents of theft at the Greenberg Sports Complex and Burrowes Building construction sites.

Some time between 5 p.m. on Jan. 1 and 6 a.m. on Jan. 12, unknown persons entered the secured construction areas and removed copper wiring. The loss is valued at more than $16,000.

Persons providing information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.00 from Centre County CrimeStoppers.

University Police would also like to remind the community to:

  • Report suspicious persons or vehicles to University Police immediately.
  • Secure your belongings to reduce your chances of being victimized.
