Pay for Play event for Children's Miracle Network breaks fundraising record

The eighth annual People’s Pay for Play on WQXA-FM 105.7 The X raised a record-breaking $151,250 for Children’s Miracle Network at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. The People’s Morning Show personalities Nipsey, Earl David Reed and Jen Shade made the commitment to remain live on the air for the 28-hour marathon broadcast on Nov. 6 and 7. 105.7 The X, an active rock radio format station, allowed listeners to pay for play and make donations of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500 or more. The further the request was from the station’s normal format, the higher the donation was to have the song played. Songs of all genres were played for significant donations to Children’s Miracle Network during the broadcast.
