MENA Business Society launching guest speaker series Nov. 2

The Middle East & North Africa (MENA) Business Society, a student-run organization dedicated to representing and sharing the economic interests and professional opportunities of the MENA region with the Penn State community, will host Khalid Alameri on Sunday, Nov. 2, to launch its first guest speaker series.

Alameri is an MBA graduate from Stanford Graduate School of Business; a columnist for The National, an English-language newspaper in Abu Dhabi, UAE; a TEDx speaker; and a senior associate in asset management and investments at Mubadala Development Company. He is also the co-founder of the beverages and food company Slices. Alameri has also built a formidable reputation among the Gulf region’s young social media savvy generation by hosting workshops across the UAE on career development and life planning.

Alameri’s notable career and background has made one of the most popular and engaging presenters in the UAE. His deep understanding of the twenty-first century youth and ways in which to reach their attentiveness, enable his audiences to achieve a clearer and deeper understanding of the meaning “success.”  He answers questions related to the measurement of one’s own success as well as how education can affect and therefore open doors of opportunity in one’s life.

The event will take place at 7 p.m. in Freeman Auditorium in the HUB-Robeson Center and is free to all University Park students, faculty and staff.
