C-SPAN to interview Barron Oct. 2 on 'Washington Journal'

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State President Eric Barron will be interviewed on the C-SPAN Bus on Thursday morning, Oct. 2, and his segment will be aired on the network between 8-8:45 a.m. Eastern time as part of a Big Ten Tour that involves C-SPAN learning more about the conference's universities as well as the leaders of those institutions. 

The program is part of a “Washington Journal” series of interviews with university officials during a C-SPAN Bus tour of the universities of the Big Ten Conference. Series topics to be covered include college costs and student debt, university admission policies, curricula, academic standards, campus safety, faculty issues, research capabilities, and how universities are preparing graduates for careers and adult life. 

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, the C-SPAN Bus also will offer students and others tours of its interactive, multimedia presentation center and share information about internship opportunities.
