UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State's Sept. 27 Homecoming game with Northwestern is set for a noon kick in Beaver Stadium. The Big Ten Network will televise Penn State's 95th Homecoming contest, which will air on the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com.

The Nittany Lions have posted an on-field mark of 13-3 against the Wildcats, with the last meeting resulting in a Penn State 39-28 comeback win in the 2012 Homecoming contest. Penn State visits Northwestern on Nov. 7, 2015, as one the Nittany Lions’ cross-division games before the nine-game Big Ten schedule begins in 2016.

Penn State owns an on-field Homecoming record of 68-21-5, with a 17-4 mark since starting Big Ten Conference competition in 1993. The Wildcats have been the Nittany Lions' Homecoming foe twice previously, with Penn State winning in 2002 and 2012.

Penn State's annual Homecoming activities include a 6 p.m. Friday parade through campus and downtown State College, guarding the Nittany Lion Shrine and the naming of a Homecoming King and Queen and their court. “Good Morning America” co-anchor Lara Spencer, a former Penn State diver and College of Communications graduate, is the grand marshal for Homecoming festivities, including the Sept. 26 parade through campus and downtown.

Coach James Franklin’s Nittany Lions (3-0, 1-0) host Massachusetts at 4 p.m. Sept. 20 before hosting the Wildcats. Northwestern meets Western Illinois on Saturday before visiting Happy Valley for its Big Ten opener.

Penn State will be making its third appearance of the season on BTN. Every Penn State football game has been televised the past 10 seasons and 243 of the last 245 contests overall have been on TV. All Penn State football and men’s and women’s basketball games air on the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com.

The Big Ten Network is available to more than 90 million homes through agreements with more than 300 cable, satellite and telco providers in all 50 states and Canada. Armstrong, Blue Ridge and Adams Cable, though, do not carry the BTN in Pennsylvania and the Medina and Youngstown, Ohio, areas. More than 35,000 Penn State alumni live in the communities served by the three cable providers in Pennsylvania and the Medina and Youngstown areas, in addition to thousands of more fans and current Penn State students.

Armstrong, Blue Ridge and Adams Cable customers will miss more than 100 Penn State events on BTN during the 2014-15 academic year, in addition to coverage from 15 conference championships.

The Nittany Lions play their next two games in Beaver Stadium, starting with Saturday’s Band Day contest with UMass. The Unrivaled Band Jam will be held at 2 p.m. in the Bryce Jordan Center and admission is free. Public and Penn State student tickets for the UMass game are available for as little as $40.

More than 6,000 new Penn State football season tickets and 65,000 single game and group sale tickets have been sold for this season. Tickets for all remaining home games are available at www.PSUnrivaled.com, by calling 800-NITTANY (weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.) or visiting the Beaver Stadium ticket office (weekdays, 10 a.m-6 p.m.).

Pre-paid single game parking passes for the general parking lots for all home games also are available at www.GoPSUsports.com/tickets.
