Space available for trip to 'Downton Abbey' exhibit at Winterthur

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- Penn State Lehigh Valley's Commission for Women is offering a special bus trip to the Brandywine Valley where participants will visit the Winterthur Museum's current exhibit, "The Costumes of Downton Abbey," tour the DuPont family home and gardens, and experience afternoon tea at the nearby DuPont Country Club. Seats for the trip, which will take place Nov. 8, are still available on a first-come first-served basis and are open to the public. The cost for the trip is $99.

"The Costumes of Downton Abbey" is an original exhibit that includes various costumes from the award-winning television series. Additionally, trip participants will receive a guided tour of Winterthur, the DuPont family home, and its sprawling gardens. The coach will then depart for the DuPont Country Club where participants will experience a three-course afternoon tea before returning to Penn State Lehigh Valley. The coach will leave the campus in Center Valley at 8:15 a.m. and return at approximately 7 p.m.
