Great Valley to host showcase highlighting faculty research Sept. 10

Team-based structuring of individual jobs has led to a remarkable transformation in the workplace. A key challenge for team leaders is creating a setting where team members, individually responsible for their own work, are also able to collaborate and contribute toward team effectiveness.

From noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, in Room 230 of the Main Building, John Sosik will present results and practical implications of a recent study of leadership behaviors, team dynamics and effectiveness for team leaders and their members from 23 companies.

Sosik is professor of management and organization and professor-in-charge of the master of leadership development program at Penn State Great Valley. He is an award-winning, internationally recognized expert on transformational/charismatic leadership, with 100 academic publications, 87 conference presentations, numerous organizational consulting engagements and editorial board responsibilities for The Leadership Quarterly, Group & Organization Management, and the Journal of Behavioral and Applied Management.

This event is free and open to the public as well as the campus community. Due to limited seating, register at LJH29@psu.edu or call 610-648-3229.
