Cutsforth-Huber to offer vocal performance

Bonnie Cusforth-Huber, associate professor of music at Penn State Altoona, will offer a vocal performance at 7:30 pm Friday, Oct. 3, in the Paul R. and Margery Wolf Kuhn Theatre in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. This performance is free and open to the public.

The recital will feature the United States premiere of Canadian composer Lloyd Burritt’s song cycle “Triptych.” Other repertoire for the program includes: two songs for contralto, piano and cello from “Opus 91” by Johannes Brahms, “Kindertotenlieder” by Gustav Mahler and “Mini Cabs” by William Bolcom. Guest artists performing alongside Cuthsforth-Huber are pianist Arlene Shrut, cellist Andrew Simpson and saxophonist Bob Scholl.
