HUB parking restrictions extended into August

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Due to unforeseen circumstances encountered by the contractor, the parking restrictions at the HUB Parking Deck will remain in effect into August, Penn State Transportation Services announced today (July 1).

The plaza level of the HUB Parking Deck will be closed through Friday, Aug. 15.

During this time, the following parking restrictions will be in place at the HUB Deck:

-- Only permits that normally authorize daytime HUB Deck parking access (Yellow C permits, floater permits, etc.) will be authorized to park in the HUB Deck on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

-- Beginning weekdays at 4 p.m., all other faculty/staff permits, as well as all student permits, are valid for parking at the HUB Deck.

-- Hourly visitor parking at the HUB Deck will be unavailable. Visitors are directed to the East Parking Deck, where hourly visitor parking will be available at the standard $1 per hour rate.

-- From 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. each day, vehicles must be displaying a valid faculty/staff permit in order to park at the HUB Deck.

-- Vehicle entry and exit will be available only via the lower entrance to the HUB Deck.

-- Parking will remain open to all faculty/staff and student permit holders and visitors on Saturdays and Sundays, though a valid faculty/staff permit will be required for parking between the hours of 2 and 4 a.m.
