STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — The 2014 Arts Festival kicks off on Wednesday, July 9, with Children and Youth Day, a venture that encourages creativity among today’s youth. The following day and continuing through Sunday, July 13, guests can visit artists’ booths and browse the diverse collection of art and crafts, ranging from paintings and photographs to clothing and jewelry.

This year’s entertainment highlights include a special performance by Ensemble Galilei, a nationally renowned group who will perform “Seeing America,” a musical narration that will include projected images from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

While the Arts Festival is free to attend, admission to Ensemble Galilei and other select performances requires the purchase of a $10 festival button, which can be purchased online or at local merchant locations. Visitors also are encouraged to share their festival experiences via social media using the hashtag #artsfest2014.
