UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Although Penn State Hockey will not return to Happy Valley until the fall, community members can still enjoy the benefits of Pegula Ice Arena during the summer months.

In addition to numerous new clinics, Learn to Skate/Play Hockey opportunities and public sessions, there will be many ways to beat the summer heat:

-- Wednesday Kids Days: Up to three kids can get in free with a paid adult during Wednesday afternoon public sessions (noon-1:30 p.m.)

-- Friday Theme Nights, presented by The Pointe (July 11, July 25, Aug. 8): Free public skating admission for Penn State students with a valid student ID. More information on themed days will be available at www.GoPSUsports.com/PegulaIceArena.

-- Saturday public sessions in the Pegula Ice Arena Varsity Rink

During the summer, Subway will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends in the arena.
