Alumni Golf Scramble registration, sponsorship forms now online

Registration and sponsorship forms for the 15th annual Alumni Golf Scramble are available on the Penn State New Kensington website. Sponsored by the Alle-Kiski Society, the tournament tees it up at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at the Links at Spring Church in Apollo, Pa.

The shotgun-start tournament is open to alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends of Penn State. The entry fee is $110 and includes green fee and cart, lunch, dinner, prizes and refreshments on course. A foursome may sign up or individuals may sign up and be assigned to a short-handed team.

Various golf packages are available including foursomes, tee sponsorships and "dinner only." Tee sponsorships are available for $100.

Proceeds benefit the society's endowed scholarship that is awarded annually to New Kensington campus students. Joshua Swinehart, of Spring Church, Jennifer Phillips, of Vandergrift, and Caitlyn Cody, of Leechburg, were awarded a total of $3,200 for the 2013-14 academic year. Since 1998, the society has awarded $40,000 to 48 campus students.
