Penn State Educational Office Professionals give annual awards

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State Educational Office Professionals (PSEOP) announced the 2014 award recipients at a recent awards ceremony held at the Nittany Lion Inn.

The Outstanding Office Professionals Award (OOPA) was awarded to Melinda Logan, financial assistant, Penn State Harrisburg. This award recognizes an administrative support employee who has provided exceptional meritorious service on behalf of Penn State.

The Lisa Brungart Leadership Award was awarded to Laurinda Benner, administrative support coordinator, College of Engineering. This award is named in memory of Lisa Brungart, a PSEOP member who passed away in 2008. This award recognizes a PSEOP member who exhibits exemplary performance, shows outstanding spirit and teamwork; and carries out the duties of their position with integrity and dedication.

The Innovation Award was awarded to Alesha Gavlock, educational program assistant, Office of Human Resources. This award is intended to recognize and reward a PSEOP member whose innovative ideas, creativity, suggestions and procedures have resulted in a more time-efficient and/or cost effective method of accomplishing any PSEOP procedure.
