New session of StrongWomen offered in Hershey

Many midlife or older women benefit from strength training. A new six-week session of the evidence-based strength training program, StrongWomen, developed by Dr. Miriam Nelson, will start Monday June 2 at the Penn State Hershey University Fitness Center (UFC).

The primary component of StrongWomen is to help women maintain muscle mass, strength, and function as they age, while the secondary component is focused on preventing heart disease through aerobic activity and nutrition. The class at the UFC will meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. and is $50 if paid in advance or $55 if paid the day of the first class. Register today at www.pennstatehershey.org/ufc or by calling 717-531-7075.
