Penn State Golf Courses to participate in PGA Free Lesson Month

Penn State Golf Courses will offer free 10-minute lessons in conjunction with PGA Free Lesson Month, a national growth-of-the-game campaign sponsored by The PGA of America.

Joe Hughes, Brian Short, Steve Wager, Steve Eskey, Urian Kim, Greg Warfel, Devin Seyler, Mike Huet and Nick DeGol of Penn State Golf Courses will offer lessons from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 24.

“PGA Free Lesson Month is a great opportunity for local non-golfers to come out and get introduced to the game of golf or for existing golfers to focus on a specific area they want to improve,” said Eskey, tournament director/assistant golf professional of Penn State Golf Courses. “We welcome all those who would like to participate, and encourage them to bring a friend or family member to come out and have some fun, regardless of skill level.”

Golfers must contact the golf shop at 814-863-0257 to register.

Throughout the month of May, PGA Professionals across the country will offer free lessons to help golfers of all levels improve their game. To date, more than 5,000 PGA Professionals nationwide have signed up to participate.
