New slate of SGA officers at New Kensington campus

Student Government Association reorganizes for fall

The Student Government Association at Penn State New Kensington reorganized in May and selected a new slate of officers for the 2014-15 academic year.

Lauren Blum, assistant to the director of student affairs, works closely with the SGA board. According to Blum, the students are looking forward to serving their student body. Blum and Theresa Bonk, director of student affairs, are co-advisers for the SGA.

“The new officers are excited and already jumping into their duties and roles with enthusiasm,” Blum said.

The SGA represents the campus’ students, providing support and advocacy and helping them experience what the University has to offer.

The 2014-15 officers:President – Hannah Hohman of Leechburg, Pa. (Leechburg High School), sophomore, corporate communications

Vice President – Danielle Richardson of Vandergrift, Pa. (Kiski Area), sophomore, corporate communications

Treasurer – Breanna Coulter of Murrysville, Pa. (Franklin Regional), sophomore, psychology

Secretary – Ethan Ritzert of Chicora, Pa. (Karns City High School), junior, electro-mechanical engineering technology

Underclassmen Faculty Senate Representatives – William Carney, of Apollo, Pa. (Apollo-Ridge), sophomore, psychology
