Ceresko selected to All-Big Ten Second Team

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Junior Ellen Ceresko (Jefferson Township, Pa.) was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team, conference officials announced April 29. This marks the first time a Penn State women's golfer was named to the first or second team All-Big Ten since Maggie Lester was named to the second team in 2006. Ceresko led the Nittany Lions in overall average with a 74.2 and tied for the team lead with five Top-15 finishes this season, highlighted by her fourth place finish at the Nittany Lion Invitational.

Senior Christina Vosters (Bethany Beach, Del.) was one of 12 to be honored with the Sportsmanship Award. This is the second time Vosters has captured the award as she earned the selection following her 2011-12 season. Junior Katlyn Elliott (Peterborough, Ont.) earned the honor for Penn State last season.

Big Ten Player of the Year as well as Freshman of the Year was awarded to Jessica Porvasnik of Ohio State. She captured the individual title in the Big Ten Championships. Therese Hession of Ohio State was named the Big Ten Coach of the Year.

Ceresko and Vosters will compete as individuals in the NCAA East Regional May 8-10 in Tallahassee, Florida.
