Beaver campus students conduct shoe drive for Big Brothers Big Sisters

Students at Penn State Beaver are conducting a shoe drive to collect new and gently used shoes to donate to Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Beaver County.

The students are seeking shoes of all types, which can be dropped off in the campus Wellness Center, in the main lobby of the Ross Administration Building, and in the Student Union Building. Shoes must be clean and without need of repair. All donations must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, May 2. The Beaver campus BBBS group members serve as mentors to area children, ages 6 to 14, and assist the children by working with them on school projects, playing games, attending campus athletic events or just talking one-on-one. A part-time staff member from BBBS of Beaver County assists campus students, i.e. “bigs," in finding children, or “littles,” with whom they can work.
