Hershey Community Garden vies for grant in online competition

The Hershey Community Garden is a nominee for a grant from Seeds of Change, an organic seed company. In order to win a grant, the Community Garden needs the help of the entire Penn State Hershey community to vote. Click on this link to vote:

Type in "Hershey" and the Hershey Community Garden will be the only one option. The gardens that receive the most votes after the voting period will receive the grants. Up for grabs are two $20,000 grants and fifteen $10,000 grants. If the Hershey Community Garden wins, the grant money would go to cover the cost of additional garden tools, benches and other garden accessories.

One vote is allowed per day until April 21.

The Hershey Community Garden, located on the west side of the Penn State Hershey campus near the fitness center and adjacent to the Life Lion hangar, is the first joint project of Hershey Impact, a group of representatives from the five corporate Hershey entities. The goal of the group, founded in January 2011, is to further the legacy of Milton S. Hershey by partnering together to enrich our local community and raise its profile as a great place to live and work.
