Student group to host Bone Marrow Drive

Penn State College of Medicine students will host their second Marrow Match Bone Marrow Drive on Thursday, April 24. Marrow Match is a student-led interest group dedicated to raising awareness about bone marrow donation and promoting national efforts to build the donor registry. The group works with the national “Be the Match” organization to promote a greater understanding of bone marrow donation and to provide hope for those in need of a marrow match.

The drive will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 24, in the main hospital lobby on the Penn State Hershey campus. Appointments are not necessary. The donation involves a simple cheek swab performed by trained medical students.
