Career Services to sponsor Business Etiquette Dinner

The Penn State Greater Allegheny Office of Career Services is planning a Business Etiquette Dinner from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, in the Ostermayer room of the Student Community Center on campus. At the three-course meal, students will learn the basics of proper social etiquette that is required to make a strong first impression at an interview or business dinner function. Topics will include acceptable greeting techniques, proper conversation topics, how to eat difficult food items without looking unprofessional, choosing the right attire, and global business relations.

“The Business Etiquette Dinner is a great way for students to learn how to behave in a business setting,” said Erica Clarke, career services coordinator and instructor in communications.  “For many of the attendees, it is their first experience with business etiquette. We want them to be able to represent themselves properly so they have an edge when they are ready to begin interviewing for their future careers.”

Interested students should contact the Career Services office via email at eec16@psu.edu by April 22.  Space is limited and business attire is required.
