Annual Chocolate Tour to raise money for cancer research is Aug. 9

HERSHEY, Pa. -- Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute will host the fourth annual Chocolate Tour on Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Milton Hershey School Athletic Complex. The event raises money to support cancer research at Penn State Hershey.

The day includes the Foreman Foundation 6-mile walk, the Mike Geltrude Foundation 6-mile running race, and cycling events of 10, 25, 35, 50, 75 and 100 miles.

Rest stops will be available at every mile point for walkers and runners to enjoy local chocolate. Cyclists will ride through the beautiful countryside of central Pennsylvania with its Amish farms, wooded areas, covered bridges and historic chocolate towns. Aside from other cycling-friendly food, rest stops will have samplings of chocolate from the nearby chocolate factory. Cyclists will also be provided with a meal upon return.
