Lehigh Valley gallery to host 'IDEA - A Study in Local Color'

Show will feature AP Portfolio students from Palisades, Southern Lehigh high schools

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Gallery at Penn State Lehigh Valley will present the work of local high school students in "IDEA -- A Study in Local Color." The exhibition runs May 13 to June 20 with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. May 13. Both the exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

For this exhibition, students researched local businesses and the products they produce in an effort to create an interesting composition to paint in the tradition of realism and hyperrealism.

IDEA: Inter-District Experience in the Arts is a collaborative art exhibition by the AP Portfolio art students from Palisades and Southern Lehigh high schools and is sponsored by The Erwin J. and Gertrude K. Neusch Fund.

Summer Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
