PTA program offers continuing ed course on ethical issues to local clinicians

More than 100 physical therapists and physical therapist assistants (PTAs) attended an Ethical Issues in Physical Therapy Practice and Education continuing education course at Penn State Shenango on April 1 as a requirement for Pennsylvania licensure renewal.

The guest speaker was Leesa M. DiBartola, who is the director of clinical education and the assistant chair of the Duquesne University Department of Physical Therapy. She is a master certified health education specialist and has served on the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association Ethics Committee for the last eight years.

The program was presented by the Penn State Shenango PTA program as a way of giving back to local clinicians who support its clinical education program.
