UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Blue & White Society will sponsor a weeklong celebration of Penn State pride from April 7 to 11.Throughout the week, themed days will take place across campus. This campus and community event seeks to engage both students and alumni in the week leading up to Blue-White Weekend.

During the weeklong celebration, the Blue & White Society will partner with other organizations on campus — such as the Lion Ambassadors and the Student Programing Association (SPA) — to spread pride and spirit. The event also gives both students and alumni an opportunity to highlight organizations and individuals that made their Penn State experience so great.

“We hope that this spirited week gives every Penn Stater the opportunity to show their excitement for the coming weekend and show off some Nittany Lion pride as our alumni prepare to return to campus for our spring scrimmage and other events,” said Josh Kirwin, vice president of programming for the Blue & White Society.

Students, alumni, faculty, staff and all members of the Penn State community are invited and encouraged to participate. The official hashtag for the week will be #PSiheartU, and students and alumni can follow @BWS_PSU_UP on Twitter for live updates.

The schedule of events follows and will be published online at www.bluewhitesociety.com. More information and details will be posted via social media.

The Blue & White Society is the student membership of the Penn State Alumni Association and is the largest registered student organization on campus. Its mission is to enhance student life at Penn State through diversified experiences with an emphasis on service to the community, civic leadership, tradition and outreach while establishing the foundation of a lifelong commitment to the University as members of the Alumni Association.
