Columbia gastroenterology expert to speak at pathology lecture

The Penn State Hershey Department of Pathology Visiting Scholar Lecture Series will be held at 8 a.m. Thursday, April 10, in the Pathology Conference Room, C7702, on the Penn State Hershey campus. Dr. Govind Bhagat, professor and director of hematopathology in the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology (in Medicine) at Columbia University Medical Center, College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University, New York, will present “Refractory Celiac Disease and Enteropathy Associated T-Cell Lymphoma.”

Bhagat is an internationally recognized expert in both hematopathology and gastrointestinal pathology. He has participated in nine National Institutes of Health-funded research projects and published more than 150 peer reviewed articles and 12 book chapters. He is on the editorial staff of many of the most high-impact hematopathology and gastrointestinal pathology journals.
