Instructor Pendzick to speak on 'Picky Eaters: Is it Behavioral or Sensory?'

Penn State Shenango will conclude its 2013-14 Faculty Lecture Series with senior instructor in occupational therapy Margaret J. Pendzick, who will speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, in Sharon Hall Room 105. Pendzick’s topic is "Picky Eaters: Is it Behavioral or Sensory?" The event is free and open to the public.

Pendzick received her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Texas Woman’s University. She has more than 30 years’ experience as an occupational therapist and holds American Occupational Therapy Association board certification in pediatrics. She has worked in several states, including Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio and Pennsylvania; and abroad in countries such as Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Her experience primarily includes children diagnosed with a physical disability, developmental disability or autism. In 2009, in collaboration with Janet Delany, Pendzick wrote “Working with Children and Adolescents: A Guide for the Occupational Therapy Assistant.”
