Debate to focus on 'Millennium Development Goals'

The fifth annual Global Health Scholars Debate is scheduled for noon Thursday, April 3, in Room C3621 on the Penn State Hershey campus. There is no fee to attend the debate, which is open to the public. Two teams will debate about “Millennium Development Goals: Were They Worth the Effort?”

The world came together in 2000 and agreed upon a set of bold goals to be reached by 2015 known as that Millennium Development Goals. The international world is already looking past the goals, but since 2015 is around the corner it is worth taking time to ask: Was it all worth it?
