Voting open to students for 2014 Homecoming emcees

Voting is now open for the 2014 Penn State Homecoming emcees, who will hosting many of the live Homecoming events throughout the year.

The emcee captains on the Homecoming committee have narrowed down the applicant pool to four potential emcees who the student body can vote on. Two emcees (one boy and one girl) will be chosen.

Voting will take place from Monday (March 24) at 12:00 a.m. to Wednesday (March 26) at 5 p.m.

Students can log onto elections.psu.edu/emcee to vote for their two favorite faces to represent Penn State Homecoming. To learn more about each candidate, students can also view each nominee’s respective YouTube video on Penn State Homecoming's official channel at http://bit.ly/1hTvjn7. The videos feature the nominees reciting scripts from the 2013 Homecoming Parade to demonstrate how they would carry their spiritedness into the 2014 Homecoming season.

Besides hosting the initial events, the job of a Homecoming emcee is to pump up the student body at all times and keep the spirit flowing throughout campus and within themselves to further solidify the theme of Homecoming.

The two nominees selected will be revealed Wednesday (March 26) between 8 and 10 p.m.
