Engineering Ambassadors accepting student applications

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Engineering Ambassadors are accepting student applicants through March 24.

The Engineering Ambassadors is an outreach program for the College of Engineering.

"Ambassadors represent the college through tours, presentations and outreach activities to middle and high schools," explained Melissa Marshall, director of the Engineering Ambassadors program. "It is the goal of the Engineering Ambassadors to communicate the awesome possibilities in the engineering field to everyone that we meet."

As part of the program, ambassadors receive advanced communications and leadership training and work with a number of industry partners, including United Technologies, Rockwell Automation, Phillips 66, John Deere, Volvo and General Motors.

Applicants must have completed any CAS 100 course by the start of the fall semester to be eligible. Application details can be found at www.engr.psu.edu/ambassadors/apply.html.
