Office of Continuing Education will offer Lean Six Sigma Certification

The Penn State Beaver Office of Continuing Education is offering a three-course Lean Six Sigma Certification program. The courses will be held in the Student Union Building on campus.

Each course carries a fee of $590, is comprised of seven sessions, and will be delivered in a blended format of four online sessions that are asynchronous and three sessions that are held synchronously at Beaver campus. Every session blends classroom experience with hands-on activities to give participants a series of tools that can be applied immediately in their workplace environment.

Lean Six Sigma is a fundamental for continuous improvement in any service industry, technology group, health care sector, office environment, or manufacturing business. This three-course program will provide students with the tools necessary to position their company or organization in order to exceed their customers’ expectations.

The first course, Lean Six Sigma Theory and Application, will be offered from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 24 through Nov. 5. Lean Six Sigma for Continuous Improvement will be held 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 19, 2014, through Jan. 7, 2015. The final course, Lean Six Sigma Customer Driven, will be offered from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 21 through March 4, 2015.
