Registration open for Center for Arts and Crafts summer camps

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Center for Arts and Crafts at Penn State has opened registration for this summer's annual art camps for children ages 6 to 14.

Five sessions of weekly art camps run from June 16 through the end of July at the University Park campus. A variety of themes are offered and depending on the camp that is chosen, can include painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, printmaking and collage.

The camps are generated by Penn State graduates and students in art education, visual arts, art history and elementary education. Campers will learn to develop their creative expression, problem solving skills, gain an appreciation of art and have the opportunity to share their imaginative ideas with others.

Each camp concludes with an exhibition showcasing campers' artwork for family and friends.
