Children's Miracle Network radiothon set for March 7-8

The 2014 GIANT Food Stores’ I Care for Kids Radiothon will air on I105 WIOV-FM on March 7 and 8. The event will be broadcast from Lancaster County Motors in East Petersburg, Pa. Money raised at this year’s radiothon will purchase a new RetCam imaging system for Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. The system is used to evaluate pediatric eye conditions including congenital glaucoma and retinopathy of prematurity, a potentially blinding eye disorder prevalent in premature infants born before 31 weeks of gestation. The equipment will also provide Penn State Hershey ophthalmologists with the tools necessary to make more accurate and timely diagnosis of retinal hemorrhages consistent with abusive head trauma.

To make a donation during the radiothon, call 877-543-7365 or donate online at PennStateHershey.org/CMN. Be a Miracle Maker by pledging $30 per month or making a one-time gift of $360. Miracle Makers will receive a shirt designed by a Miracle Child.
