Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence plans Course Design Academy

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence is currently accepting applications for the Course Design Academy.  The academy will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, May 19, to Friday, May 23, in Room 315 Rider Building. The deadline for applications is March 21.

Do you have a new course to develop for an upcoming semester? Perhaps there’s one you’d love to redesign? Are you ready to explore classroom strategies to better engage your students? If so, then join us for the Course Design Academy (CDA). Bring your laptop, your course materials and your best ideas — we’ll supply the rest.

As an academy participant, you and your cohorts will spend five days with Crystal Ramsay, research associate and instructional consultant, and Kathy Jackson, senior research associate and instructional consultant, in an immersive course design process. Consider this an opportunity to work on your course in an environment characterized by supportive, hospitable and friendly peer-to-peer interaction.
