'The Vagina Monologues' to be presented at Penn State Schuylkill

As part of our 80th anniversary celebration, Penn State Schuylkill students will present "The Vagina Monologues" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, in the Hidden Stream Café. It is free and open to the public.

"The Vagina Monologues" is an episodic play written by Eve Ensler, which ran at the Off-Broadway Westside Theatre after a limited run at HERE Arts Center in 1996. In 1998, V-Day was launched as a global nonprofit movement that has raised more than $75 million for women’s anti-violence groups through benefits of "The Vagina Monologues." Penn State Schuylkill has been fortunate enough to have students who want to share in spreading the information about anti-violence by performing the production. Donations collected from the event are kept within the local community and given to Schuylkill Women in Crisis (SWIC).
